Today two Russian cosmonauts aboard the International Space Station will conduct a six-hour spacewalk, installing laser communications equipment and replacing experiments on the Zvezda service module, a Russian portion of the ISS.

NASA will broadcast the six-hour spacewalk live starting at 10 a.m. EDT.

Cosmonauts Sergei Volkov and Alexander Samokutyaev will also relocate a boom, collect an antenna and deploy a small radio-transmitting satellite and a student-built experiment.

This is the third spacewalk for Volkov and the first for Samokutyaev. They will exit the ISS, wearing Russian Orlan spacesuits, from the Pirs docking compartment airlock at about 10:30 a.m.
