iPad users will have to wait a bit longer to get features like multitasking and folder support, but one of the new features is available right now; the iPad now supports Ping. Ping was Apple’s stab at a social media component to the iTunes store, and it is now on the iPad as well. Via an update to the iTunes Store’s servers, Ping functionality is now available in the iTunes app on the iPad.

All the usual Ping features will be found in a tab on the iPad’s iTunes app: who you are following, who follows you, and so forth. Just like when Ping came to the iPhone in early September, there isn’t anything you need to do or download in order to get Ping up and working on the iPad other than opening the iTunes app.

Ping is an enjoyable experience on the iPhone than on the Mac for many and the same may be true for the iPad. Is the feature being available on the iPad more likely to actually make you use Ping? Let us know in the comments how it is working out for you. As usual, stay tuned for more news and info about your iDevices by following us on Twitter and/or subscribing to our RSS feed.
