Il est courant qu'au baseball, les balles frappées par les joueur sortent du terrain pour aller "se perdre" parmi les spectateurs. Récupérer une balle "perdue" est généralement synonyme de pactole puisque les balles sont numérotées et se revendent à bon prix sleon les points qu'elles ont permis de gagner ... A cette partie, un père tenant sa fille (sans doute prise d'un besoin pressant) dans un bras parvient à récupérer la balle au vol ... C'est sans doute le père de l'année....

May 24, 1935: Night Baseball Comes to Major Leagues

1935: The first night major league baseball game is played at Crosley Field in Cincinnati.

Crosley Field, built in the same era as Boston’s Fenway Park and Chicago’s Wrigley Field, was smaller than both. In fact, with a seating capacity around 30,000, it held the fewest fans in the majors. But in the mid-1930s the Cincinnati Reds were struggling to fill even those seats.
