Paraben has released a new cunning piece of kit which will suck out all the data from inside your device so prying eyes can’t go through your contact details and anything else you have stashed on your smartphone.

iRecovery Stick let’s you recover text messages, phone call history, internet history, contacts, pictures and graphics, calendar entries, map history, and much more — basically anything stashed in the iPhone’s memory.

To use iRecovery, you need to connect the USB stick to a Windows PC, then connect the iPhone. You run recovery software on the stick which strafes your iPhone to ‘recover’ your data. Takes around 20 mins per GB of data. Once the data recovery process is complete, you will be presented with all of the data in an easy-to-read table format that allows you to easily find whatever information you are looking for.

The USB stick costs a whopping $260, but you can get it cheap for $199 at SpyGadgets. According to the vendor, the software should run without a hitch on iOS versions up to 4.x, while the OS compatibility includes the Win98/XP/2000/Vista/7 operating system (strangely, it is not compatible with Mac OS).
