Apple has released iOS 4.2.1 (build 8C154) for the new Apple TV which was previously running iOS 4.2.

The main highlight of iOS 4.2.x for Apple TV is the video AirPlay feature that will allows you to stream pictures, videos and music right from your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to TVs connected to the second-gen Apple TV.

According to Apple’s release notes the update resolves an issue regarding 480p playback as well as a video re-downloading issue.
