Another day has gone by and more tidbits from the hacking community have trickled in. The Chronic Dev Team has pushed yet another update to the GreenPois0n utility. GreenPois0n RC5_b3 for Mac running 10.5 and up is now out. The updated GreenPois0n RC5_b3 addresses the issues in RC5_b2 where the application was getting closed immediately. It was because RC tried to call version 6.0.0 of libcurl.4.dylib, but got 5.0.0 in return. Due to this, the GreenPois0n application was closing out immediately. For those of you who don’t already know, GreenPois0n untether jailbreaks the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS (all bootoms), iPod Touch 2G (all bootroms), iPod Touch 3G, iPod Touch 4G, and iPad running iOS 4.2.1 without requiring SHSH blobs for iOS 4.2 b3. Just recently, the GreenPois0n tool was released and initially saw a few issues but later fixed in Greenpois0n RC5_b2.
