Turn-By-Turn Navigation Coming To iPhone Maps App Via Cydia Tweak
A new Cydia tweak that allows iPhone users to get turn-by-turn voice navigation directly from Apple’s native Google Maps app was said to be released recently. This feature is one that was available on Android for quite some time, but iPhone users have had to rely completely on third-party apps, some of which are quite expensive. Services similar to MapQuest also offer turn-by-turn navigation but having the voice navigation feature built in to the phone’s native app is a very nice addition for many users. As of right now, the tweak is just said to be “coming soon” to the Cydia store. There is currently no word as to how much it will cost. This specific feature is one of the most talked-about features for operating systems such as Android. Having this tweak would create another good reason to jailbreak your iPhone. As of right now we hope that the tweak is only a temporary solution to the issue. Hopefully Apple can bring this feature to the iOS platform natively in a future software update. We will have to wait and see but for now we can enjoy the preview video. As usual, stay tuned for more news and info on the topic by following us on Twitter and/or subscribing to our RSS feed.
