The tool requires .NET 2.0 and has been tested on NT 6.x (Vista and Windows 7). Although the process doesn’t allow you to always jump directly into mass storage mode because it requires Zune to be launched at least once before using your handset as a USB flash drive but hey, its possible. Use Your Windows Phone 7 As A USB Storage Device
XDA forum member MarcHoover has developed a ‘USB Storage Enabler Tool’ for Windows Phone 7 which makes it easy to enable or disable the WP7 USB functionality. You need to have Zune installed and one device connected for least one time.To enter the USB Storage you’ll close Zune.
