Many people have recently been reporting issues with the new 2010 MacBook Airs that are coming in. Many people are reporting random kernel panics, freezing and display distortion with lines across the screen, and the inability to wake from sleep. Apple has not acknowledged this issue yet despite many users putting several discussion threads on their support forums as well, examples can be found here and here. Some users even made YouTube videos to help show the issues they had been experiencing, an example of that can be found below:

Not only are the reports running rampant from the public, but many high profile Mac bloggers’ Airs are showing similar symptoms. David Martin from the Cult of Mac and Serenity Caldwell of Macworldalso experienced issues with their 11-inch and 13-inch MacBook Airs. They experienced kernel panics and random cuts to a grey screen during Screen Sharing, which was only curable with a reboot. An Apple Genius who wished to remain anonymous who worked with Caldwell said that “the Air’s logic board might possibly be at fault.” That is about the only insight given thus far about the issue.

Apple’s general pattern is to not admit that any problem exists until they have tested and verified a fix ready for released so the same can be expected to be seen with this issue. Affected users should still try to seek help from the Geniur Bar though, they might still be of some help. Are any of you experiencing issues like these? Let us know int he comments below.
