TinyUmbrella Updated To 4.1.8 – New UI And Lots Of New Features

With the recent release of Limera1n and GreenPois0n jailbreak for iOS 4.1 Notcom, the dev behind TinyUmbrella has released an updated for Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux. TinyUmbrella 4.1.8 now provides full support for iOS 4.1. And, now is the best time to save SHSH blobs for iOS 4.1 so that you may downgrade to iOS 4.1 and jailbreak your iPhone and iPod Touch if you wish to. In this guide you’ll learn how to save SHSH blobs of iOS 4.1 for iPhone 4, 3GS, 3G, iPod Touch 4G, 3G, 2G with a single click using TinyUmbrella.

TinyUmbrella let you save SHSH blobs (necessary for restoring older firmware) for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. More details on TinyUmbrella can be found here. TinyUmbrella 4.1.8 comes with a new UI and lots of new features. You can download Tinyumbrella 4.1.8 from the link below.

For those who don’t know, TinyUmbrella lets you save SHSH blobs for iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Apple TV which are required to be able to downgrade device firmware to an older version.

    • You can save SHSH with known devices as well (No more requirement for the device to be connected)
  • Recovery Devices
    • If you connect a device in recovery mode you can still kick it out of recovery (Right click -> Kick out of recovery)
  • Save SHSH now saves ALL SHSHs available at Cydia with one button press!
  • Preferences
    • Change SHSH save directory
  • Proxies (Web and Socks) for those that need them!
  • Better port 80 detection.

Using TinyUmbrella, you can update iPhone 4 to iOS 4.1 without updating baseband.

NOTE:

  • It preserves baseband of iPhone 4 ONLY. iPhone 3GS and 3G users can only preserve baseband with PwnageTool/Sn0wBreeze.
  • Developer @notcom tweeted about Mac users to turn off port 80 for websharing when running TinyUmbrella TSS Server.
