L'Erta Ale est un volcan situé au nord de la vallée du grand rift en Ethiopie. Des scientifiques ont fait le test de jeter un jerricane rempli d'eau dans le lac de lave. Le résultat fut une augmentation de l'activité du lac.

The Erta Ale is a volcano located north of the Great Rift Valley in Ethiopia. Scientists have taken the test to take a jerry can filled with water in the lava lake. The result was an increase in activity of the lake.
