The developers over at CocoaNuts the so-called “crack team of tweakologists” have just released a powerful and useful bluetooth file transfer app for iDevices. These are the same guys who developed the YourTube app for iPhone to download YouTube videos and Gremlin jailbreak framework. Celeste will allow users to send and receive files via bluetooth on their iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. A similar app called iBluetooth, later renamed iBluenova, came up in 2009 and attempted to do this. However unlike Celeste, it won’t work on iOS 4 and did not have any OS wide integration. Another breakthrough attempted by the developers of Celeste, is the ability to sync songs, videos, YouTube content downloaded back to iTunes. The app will be released in Cydia for jailbroken iOS devices later this month. Check out the gallery below: Check out the video demo below: In a nutshell, Celeste lets jailbreakers send and receive files and photos over something Apple is yet to offer us directly via the iPhone – Bluetooth File Transfer. But where Apple drops the ball, jailbreaking picks up the slack… yet again. Celeste is now available to download in the Cydia Store. Last week, CocoaNuts announced that Celeste would roll out this week, after having been put through some rigorous testing “here at CocoaNuts labs.” Released earlier this month was a teaser video highlighting Celeste in action. So if you’re not already sold on the app, be sure to check out the demo reel, visit the dedicated Celeste site, or the official CocoaNuts blog here.
