Lawn darts is a delightful sport that’s sort of like horseshoes but played with pointy, foot-long, plastic-and- metal projectiles. It should be a national pastime, but the Consumer Product Safety Commission outlawed it in 1988 (something about 6,700 injuries and a few deaths caused by “jarts”). But as we discovered, you can import a set of steel-tipped beauties from the UK that approximate the classic design. We’re going to use them in an interdepartmental tourney.
