Amidst all the iPad and BlackBerry PlayBook news, Motorola has announced a tablet of their own, which is known as Motorola’s Honeycomb tablet.

The device’s official name has not yet been publicized but the pieces of the puzzle are finally coming together as the folks over at Engadget scored seven pictures of the 10-inch slate.

Unfortunately some of the pictures are blurry and the graininess in some is so bad that it isn’t entirely possible to discern what is being conveyed. Still, regardless of what the ports shown in the last image are (HDMI, microUSB, and a headphone jack all seem likely), there is one thing that has been ascertained by this leak: the tablet is destined for the Big Red network as the Verizon logo has been spotted in a few of the images. Other than that, Engadget’s tipster confirmed the specs which were previously leaked:

  • 1 GHz Tegra 2 T20 processor
  • 1280×800 multitouch-capable display
  • Gyroscope
  • 512 MB of RAM
  • microSD card slot
  • Front-facing and rear cameras (speculation is that the front-facing camera is 2MP and the rear camera is 5MP)

As for the name, everyone is still left out in the cold as the tipster wasn’t sure whether the tablet would be called “Stingray,” “Everest,” or “Trygon.” Patience will definitely help for those who are excited as time will end up revealing everything.
