With all the recent Apple news being released from the arrival of iOS 4.2 for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch, the making of the “Find My iPhone” feature free and able to use without MobileMe, to countless new attributes for the iPad (such as multitasking, folders, etc) and the new access to Game Center, AirPlay, and AirPrint; Apple is keeping everyone on their toes with no shortage of sweet arrivals for our iDevices. The company even recently released their Black Friday teaser ad, which is proclaiming deals on various different Apple products on November 26th. People seem to be forgetting about other big news for Apple recently. Currently, customers have downloaded over an excess of seven billion apps from the App Store. We have also officially broke the 300,000 mark in terms of applications now available for download in 90 countries. More remarkable is the fact that 40,000 of those are native to the iPad – something relatively astounding considering the short period of time the iPad has been out and it’s corresponding app store being available.

Apple seemed to take the opportunity to also note that there are currently more than 125 million iOS users around the world who have the option of enjoying the previously mentioned 300,000 apps, which are spread across a range of 20 familiar categories for many. The crowded app space through which many people navigate is about to get even more crowded with the Mac-specific app store coming online in the near future. Developers will have an entirely new platform to mess around with, lending credence to the claims of many analysts that the sum total of apps across all iDevices could range between 500,000 and 750,000 by the end of 2011. Apple’s app store clearly has a big advantage over its competitors as of right now and it only seems to be growing stronger. What do you think of the whole ordeal? Let us know in the comments below!
