Rumors Suggest iPhone 5 / 4S To Featured Curved Glass Display
The speculation surrounding Apple’s next-generation iPhone design continues. Many sources as well as history have helped conclude that Apple’s next iteration of the iPhone will be an incremental upgrade akin tot he iPhone 3G to iPhone 3GS bump, but rumors keep continuing to mount suggesting otherwise. The latest coming from DigiTimes, which claims that Apple has purchased 200-300 glass cutting machines which will be used by glass makers to build curved front panels for the iPhone 5 (or iPhone 4S) which is due later this year. While it certainly is a possibility that Apple’s next iPhone will implement a number of design changes including a new curved front panel, many believe the next iPhone will be a modest upgrade. Features that are said to improve include: a faster processor, better cameras, up to 64 GB of internal storage, new radios compatible with additional carriers such as T-Mobile USA and Sprint, and a few other internal tweaks. Unfortunately, it could be a while before we know for sure, as rumors suggest Apple may be focusing on software at this year’s WWDC keynote and will wait until its annual September event to unveil the next iPhone.
