This nanoscale display of school spirit is actually the width of a blonde human hair. (Blonde hairs tend to run smaller than brown, black, or red strands.) But is it really that small? Let’s put it this way: That lightly colored fine line that encircles the emblem? That’s 20 nanometers thick, equivalent to 75 gold atoms strung together.
