all know – the iPhone Dev-Team has been working hard to release PwnageTool 4.1 to the masses. MuscleNerd, has hinted at the possibility of PwnageTool being able to provide untethered jailbroken firmware creation for ALL future firmware updates on devices that use the A4 chip (iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4G and iPad). Another member of the Dev-Team @wizdazhad successfully ported limera1n exploit discovered by GeoHot to work with PwnageTool.

Today, MuscleNerd shared the first screenshot of the new version of PwnageTool 4.1 to jailbreak iOS devices by creating a custom firmware to restore normally with iTunes without the upgraded 05.14.04 / 2.10.4 basebands. The new PwnageTool will help all those users with a SIM-locked iPhone who have yet to upgrade to firmware 4.1 without upgrading the baseband. You can then unlock your iPhone with ultrasn0w.

For those who don’t know PwnageTool is a jailbreaking tool for Mac users, that allows you to create custom firmware to jailbreak your iOS devices. If you are on Windows platform, then you might need to wait for some more time as iH8sn0w will be releasing updated version of Sn0wbreeze as well soon after PwnageTool is out.

iPhone 4 users, however, can still update to iOS 4.1 without updating baseband, a step by step guide can be found here. Limera1n and Greenpois0n jailbreak are already out to jailbreak iOS 4.1 for all iOS devices. Follow the guides linked below to jailbreak iOS 4.1:
