The folks over at iPhoneIslam have released an app called – FaceIt which can enable FaceTime calling option on iPhone 3GS running iOS 4.1. FaceIt-3GS app DOES NOT enable FaceTime via the 3GS’s rear-facing camera. The only added functionality this cydia app appears to give iPhone 3GS owners is the ability to accept FaceTime calls from an iPhone 4, iPod touch 4G, or Mac.

The app will not use the rear camera for sending video stream but will only allow you to view someone else’s FaceTime video.  Below is the complete tutorial on how to install FaceIt-3GS to enable FaceTime on iPhone 3GS.
