Apple’s website says it all on it’s front page – today being a big day for iTunes. No one knows exactly what it is, but we’ll all be finding out in fewer than 24 hours. As for now, Apple will only say that it has an “exciting announcement” planned for 7am Pacific, 10am Eastern later today. Apple proclaims “Tomorrow is just another day that you’ll never forget,” with the full entire page. “Check back here tomorrow for an exciting announcement from iTunes.”

Although there is speculation running rampant, most people are already assuming that this will be the long-awaited arrival of streaming content to iTunes. It’s been almost one year into Apple’s acquisition of Lala, and so far nothing has come of their purchase, even though “imminent” announcements have been anticipated the day after the news of the acquisition was leaked. With everything being said, anything cloud-based would be a welcome development for millions of iTunes users. If tomorrow’s announcement doesn’t involve streaming, cloud-based attributes, then it’ll just be another day for many. Apple’s big hype suggests that something big is around the corner and no one seems to have an exact idea of what it is. Fortunately, we don’t have to wait too long to find out the specifics.
