Not

good news for many, the GreenPoison SHAtter iOS 4.1 jailbreak is not going to be released this weekend. Pod2g confirmed earlier that the iOS 4.1 jailbreak will finally be released in the next few days (most likely this weekend) but posixninja of the Chronic Dev Team is now confirming that it will NOT be released this weekend. It seems that the team is still fighting out the bugs. While this is excellent news and it most likely means that we may have to wait a few more days to jailbreak the iPhone 4, 3GS, 3G, and the iPod Touch 4G on iOS 4.1 while the Chronic Dev Team mashes out the exploit completely.

Posixninja recently tweeted:

“Sunday is a Funday” is dev team’s slogan, I believe ours is “Patience Please!”

It’s /not/ coming out tomorrow, I’m just getting sick of hearing dev teams slogan (as much as everyone else is sick of hearing ours =P)

And no that doesn’t mean it’s coming today either. Patience Please!!

Still no ETA has been communicated so far but the team is working hard so that the iOS 4.1 jailbreak works flawlessly and compatible with the applications it should be. A buggy SHAtter release will indeed shatter all your hopes so its better to wait a little bit longer, especially after many of us have waited this long already. Be patient and stay tuned!
