If you were thinking about buying an Android phone soon, stop before you go and do that. There are rumors about a big release date coming and you  might want to check up on it before signing up for another 2-year contract with your carrier. The rumor is that Google and Samsung will be announcing the “Nexus Two” at a press conference on November 8th in New York city. The phone will be the first device to ship with stock Gingerbread (Android 2.3) and it will be available soon on multiple carriers. The source wished to remain anonymous so nothing can be said in that regard.

In terms of opinion, many people are wondering which Android phone is the best to get and many people believe that the Samsung Galaxy S offered the best combination of hardware, but ironically it isn’t as popular as many of the other phones. Many people just want to run the latest version of Android with the best combination of hardware possible and claimed thats exactly why they all carried different models from HTC and Motorola. Many people felt that if Samsung focused on the hardware and let Google take over the software duties, the end result would be a phone many would prefer to own. This is exactly what plans on happening with the “Nexus Two.”

It would definitely not be fun to purchase a phone on contract and find out something better came out shortly after you tied yourself down so you might as well wait.
