Apple has just released iOS 4.2.1 Golden master (Build 8C148) for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch to developers of its iOS Developer program. This new built has been released in wake of the VoIP bug reported in iOS 4.2.

The release of another Golden Master version comes as a surprise as the Golden Master version means that it is the shipping version of the software that developers must use to develop and submit iOS apps that are compatible with iOS 4.2. Apple had released an updated version of iOS 4.2 GM for iPad late last week to fix the Wi-Fi connectivity bug that was affecting iPad users.

Macrumors is reporting that Apple has informed developers not to resubmit their applications under the new build, which indicates that iOS 4.2.1 might include only some minor bug fixes. iOS 4.2 final is rumored to release on November 24th.
