iPhone Dev-Team member MuscleNerd had confirmed on twitter that Saurik and Chpwn had been working hard to release an updated version of Cydia and had posted a teaser image. Due to many API changes in iOS 4.2, Cydia had to go through a long overdue overhaul which we reported about last week.
There is no official announcement on what the update will include, so let’s put our speculative hats on for a moment: maybe we’ll finally get to see Rock integration?
Apple is rumored to release iOS 4.2 to public (tomorrow) November 12th. Though Cydia is ready, we still have to wait for Comex to implement a userland exploit so that Geohot’s Limera1n can be extended beyond iOS 4.1 for a full untethered jailbreak.
