FaceTime has just been announced at the “Back to the Mac” event – being released for the OS X. Unfortunately it has only been announced for the OS X only (not Windows) so it will be based on iPod Touch 4G to iPhone 4 to OS X devices only.
It won’t be integrated into iChat either. FaceTime for the Mac is an entirely separate app and you can use your Mac’s Address Book to make calls to available people. It has been released in beta form for anyone who wants to test it. Download the FaceTime for Mac Beta by clicking on the link below:
